Day One review!

Well, one day down and we've completed the first 1/20 of the route. Today started off well with sun and a nice roll into penzance but was slowly destroyed by the constant hills and climbs that seemed to plague the day. However, it has set us in a good frame of mind for the rest of the time. We ended with the last half mile with heavy rain which managed to soak us through. Hopefully it all goes overnight though for a dry day tomorrow.

Tomorrow is going to be a longer day at about 85miles but hopefully the hills will be slightly less than today to help us manage it.

Thanks for all the support and comments, they are certainly helping!

Anyway, we are off to try and digest our large mixed grill. Cheers!

Hi chaps. Well done on your first day. You did well for the rain to hold off for that long in Cornwall. I have family in Fowey and it pi@@es down every time I visit. Good luck with the 85 miles tomorrow. It is a little 'lumpy' just before Devon but nice and flat after that for a while. How many burgers did Chris eat during Day 1 then?
